Ann Dahlke, CPS/CAP - Member Spotlight (December 2010)

Member Name
Ann Dahlke, CPS/CAP, HIA, MHP, ALHC

Employer: UMR, A UnitedHealthcare Company

Job Title: Senior Administrative Assistant

Chapter:Wausau

Did you know? I spent a year living in Los Mochis, Mexico as a Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) student when I was 16-17. I actually hold 4 designations: CPS, HIA (Health Insurance Associate), MHP (Managed Healthcare Professional), and ALHC (Associate, Life and Health Claims) Hopefully, I'll soon have a fifth designation since I took the CAP exam in November 2010. I spend a lot of time volunteering! I served as the chair of the Wausau Conservatory of Music's Annual Mother's Day Rose Sale for five years, where we sold 1,500 dozen roses one year! Although I no longer chair the rose sale, I'm still involved as a volunteer. I also volunteer with the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Festival of Trees to benefit Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, the Humane Society of Marathon County, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I am unofficially the WI Division photographer as I’m the one who takes pictures at all the events I attend.

Suzy Borchers, CAP - Member Spotlight (November 2010)

Member Name
Suzy Borchers, CAP

Employer: Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation

Job Title: Executive Assistant to the VP of Finance

Chapter: Madison

Did you know? That I started out in IAAP as a frightened mouse in the way back corner of the room! I know, any of you who know me are now laughing your head off trying to picture that, but it’s true. Cliché as it sounds IAAP has really helped me to grow professionally and personally, to get over the fear of public speaking (almost completely!), and to try out leadership roles. I have gained so much through this organization and have developed so many close, long-lasting friendships.

On a completely non-IAAP note, I like to golf, bowl, read, garden and travel. If I wasn’t married to my fabulous husband, Bill - I’m sure I’d be the crazy cat lady of the neighborhood with 80 cats!!!!!

Not being a factory worker, I looked for work elsewhere and after obtaining Associate Degrees in Accounting and Supervisory Management, I was hired in April 1991 at the Janesville Country Club. Chapter: Madison Chapter Member

Did you know? Yvonne plays electric bass guitar! I took up the Bass in High School and played in several bands. I continued to play for years and recently I started playing again and have been asked to sit in at a local place. My teacher said that he has never seen anyone play the way that I do, and that is a huge compliment as he is a very accomplished musician himself.
